Upgrading from WPtouch Pro 1.x or 2.x to 3.0 is easy! Follow these simple steps to make sure your upgrade to WPtouch Pro 3.0 goes smoothly:

1. Upgrade to the Latest Version of WordPress

Check to make sure you are running the latest version of WordPress. WPtouch Pro 3.0 is compatible with previous versions of WordPress (version 3.4 and higher) but for security and efficiency it’s always best to ensure you have the latest version of WordPress installed. Detailed instructions on updating WordPress can be found in the WordPress Codex.

2. Specific Upgrade Instructions

Deactivate your current version of WPtouch or WPtouch Pro. Upload and install the plugin .zip file. You can download it via support or your license e-mail once purchased. Activate WPtouch Pro 3. You’re good to go!

3. Testing and Feedback

Test what your site will look like by using the new Preview button in the WPtouch Pro administration panel. Preview will open a small smartphone-sized window and show you what your website looks like as you change WPtouch Pro’s settings.

You can also enable Preview Mode which will show WPtouch Pro in all browsers – but just for you, not your visitors!
